Sharon Benner, an oil and pastel painter, will exhibit a variety of paintings at Art Downtown, 32 Carlisle St., Hanover. Stop and see the paintings, many of them created at Codorus State Park or in other local surroundings. Sharon is a plein air painter, often taking her paints and canvas and going on location; you may recognize her paintings. She calls herself a "colorist," loving the play of light and dark in artwork.
Sharon, a Hanover resident, will be on hand during downtown Hanover's Sip and Stroll June 3 to talk with artlovers, 2-7 p.m.
Her paintings can be seen during regular gallery hours, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The gallery is always free and open to the public.
