Magnolia Massage Haven Collects Nearly 200 Blankets for Local Families in Need

Hanover, PA – Main Street Hanover is proud to highlight the incredible success of Magnolia Massage Haven’s community blanket drive, which ran from October 31 through November 30, 2025. Thanks to the generosity of Hanover residents and businesses, an estimated 150–200 blankets, quilts, and sleeping bags were collected and distributed to local organizations serving individuals and families experiencing hardship this winter.
All donated blankets were professionally cleaned at no cost by Dirty Duds Laundromat, ensuring that every item was fresh, safe, and ready to provide immediate comfort to those in need.
The blankets were delivered to several community organizations, including:
  • Hanover Council of Churches
  • The Rainbow Rose Center, to support their upcoming community meal
  • Neighbors in Knead, a partnership between The Serpents Key and Emmanuel United Church of Christ
Malynn Heinbauch, owner of Magnolia Massage Haven and organizer of the drive, shared her motivation behind this effort:
“My reason for the blanket drive was simply to help those in need and keep them warm. The cold snap came faster this year, and we’ve seen more individuals and families lose their homes in recent months. I just wanted to make a difference. With the support of Dirty Duds Laundromat, we were able to donate clean blankets, quilts, and sleeping bags to multiple organizations across the community. When handing out the blankets, you could see the gratitude in the eyes of those receiving that new warmth—and for me, that’s more than enough motivation to give back to our community.”
With the November blanket drive now wrapped, Magnolia Massage Haven is keeping the momentum going. For the month of December, Heinbauch is hosting a Jacket & Food Drive, collecting:
  • Lightly used jackets, sweaters, hoodies, and coats for adults and children
  • Non-perishable foods like rice, pasta, oatmeal, cereal, snacks, and pantry staples
  • Optional toiletry items including toothpaste, soap, and feminine hygiene products

Main Street Hanover applauds the giving spirit shown by Malynn and her team—and the overwhelming generosity of the community.
Moriah Tyler, Executive Director of Main Street Hanover, shared:
“This is exactly why it’s important to shop local. When you support small businesses, your investment gets reinvested back into the community in more ways than one. Efforts like Magnolia Massage Haven’s blanket drive are a perfect example of the heart and dedication our downtown entrepreneurs bring to Hanover.”
