BOROUGH COUNCIL ACTIONS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS:
NATIONAL FARMERS MARKET WEEK: President Reichart presented Market Manager Curtis Oviatt and Parks, Recreation and Library Services Director Matt Purkins with a proclamation declaring August 3 – 9, 2025 as Farmers Market Week in Hanover.
DONATION FOR SPEED SIGNS: The Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #1406 presented Council with a donation to the Hanover Police Department for speed signs.
MISCELLANEOUS FEE RESOLUTION: Approval was granted for Resolution No. 1443 for Amendment to the Miscellaneous Fee Resolution.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT EXTENSION: Approval was granted to execute Doss Alley Green Street Conversion Extension of Time, per July 2, 2025, York County Commission letter.
FIREFIGHTER ELIGIBILITY LIST: Approval was granted to direct the Civil Service Commission to create a joint eligibility list with Penn Township for the Hanover Area Fire and Rescue Commission..
MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION FUND GRANT APPLICATION: Approval was granted for Resolution No. 1444 to apply for a Multimodal Transportation Fund Grant to repair and pave High Street from Maple Avenue to Eisenhower Drive.
AWARD OF TRANSFER STATION HAULING BIDS: Approval was granted to award the Transfer Station Hauling Bid to apparent low bidder Midstate Hauling LLC, Hanover, PA at a cost of $216.75 per trip as per bid specifications, pending staff and Solicitor review.
PERFORMANCE BOND FOR 661 BROADWAY: Approval was granted to release a performance bond in the amount of $61,193.00.
WATER SUPPLY ALLOCATION AND SUSTAINABILITY POLICY: Approval was granted for the Draft Policy for the Sustainability of Water Supply Allocations to Non-Bonafide Customers.
MAXIMUM PARAMETER DEBT ORDINANCE: Approval was granted for Ordinance No. 2381 to establish a maximum parameter debt ordinance for the financing of the proposed Public Safety and Administration Complex project at 44 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA.
CHANGE ORDER NO. 001 FOR PHASE II – PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY PROJECT: Approval was granted for Change Order #001: ($965,995.00) cost reduction achieved through value engineering for various construction items.
